Back from Hospital and some new Finishes

Its been such a long time since I posted. It has been a rough summer for me,being in the hospital four times since the middle of June. I keep getting congestive heart failure since my heart attack two years ago,which damaged my heart so I never know when it will hit...but it will not stop me from doing what I love,which is stitch and create..

I just finished stitching this pretty..Its done on 32 count linen,with dinky dyes silk in Sapphire.It is edged with hand dyed vintage rick rack,and has a vintage calico
fabric back.The picture does it no justice..It is listed in my Stitchery Shoppe

Just bought a great new fall pattern from Brenda Gervais..can't wait to start it..

Being a child from a Family of Florists...my love of flowers 

shows in all I do. My gardens bring me so much joy and peace..

So I will be spending lots of time sitting out there and healing my body and soul

Been too Long

Its been so long since I posted. About 6 weeks  ago I had another heart attack,an was in quite a poor frame of mind for a bit. But I am
feeling much better,I have a bit of energy,and have started creating and stitching again...and It feels good to be doing so.

Holiday Stitching

Wow have not posted in a while. Its been hectic with Christmas Orders. Didn't get to stitch nearly 

enough and it makes me sad. I truly love to stitch. Maybe now that orders are under control I can stitch more. Dec 9th and have not purchased a gift yet! I swear every year this won't happen, yet time gets away from me and here I am again. Anyway here are two things I did stitch...

the bottom and back are black homespun. I love the way this wonderful design

Tusal ,Stacy Nash Finish,and a few Garden Pics

 

Finished a few pieces, some Garden Pics...and New Moon Ort Jar..First is a design by Stacy Nash. I turned her scissor case in to a stitching book. Lots of room for scissors,tape,seam ripper and scissors. The back of book is a French General Vintage Fabric...its so vintage looking and Prim...

Being in my Garden brings me such Joy..The flowers all seem to have their own little personalities

Some are shy,some are bold,some just say hey look at me. The Hummers flit through out the gardens,

with their Beautiful Colors Like flying  fine jewels ~ the Butterflies are so busy doing what they need to do before it gets cooler. Baby birds announce their arrival..a family of chickadees just fledged.as did the Baby Wrens. I have a olde chicken feeder in the Garden that I've painted with "Leave a Place in your Garden for Fairies to Dance" Humm is that what I see out of the corner of my eye while sitting and reading in this Restful Place? Maybe....

Old Samplers,new Finish and Garden pics

Can't believe I have not posted lately. Have been crazy with orders,yard work,

and trying to capture dust bunnies! I took a few pics in my yard recently and also have a finish and WIP. I also took a few pics of some stitching I did in 1987-89.

~Flower Sampler~

Measures 19 x23" Had to take on angle cause the glass glares..Had it professionally matted and frames and still have it hung in my Kitchen today.

I honestly don't remember who the designer is,but its a wonderful piece! Stitched on 32 count linen
