A few new pieces..one pincushion and a "Vintage" Stitched Piece.

A Wonderful Vintage design done on 32 count linen with BlueBerry

over dyed threads by Threadworks. With a Vintage Mother of Pearl button..and Osnaburg back to keepGently "aged" to give it a truly

early look.

Stitched a few more pieces but did not get them put together yet...will post them soon..

New Bunny Tuck Finish

Just finished this Sweet Bunny design by Alexandrina. I used 35 ct white laguna and Nina's beautiful hand dyed threads. I really enjoyed stitching this sweet little guy.

Finished this Heart Fob/Ornament

Finally got the time to finish this. It is done on 35 ct cream linen.Stitched two over two in silk threads. Vintage ribbons on sides and for hanging are stitched on with tiny seed beads. Back is a fine muted floral. I will put this on etsy tomorrow. Its a Sheppard's Bush design.

New Stash New Thoughts

Hope your Sunday was great. Thought I would share my new stash,my Dinky dyes sewing kit,and a little Heart Fob I am working on..

New Stash lots of Nicoletta (NikyCreations) designs,a Little House A Stitchers Prayer, and a New Stacy Nash Design Pins,Needles,and Scissors pattern, some linens, Hand dyed wools and new GA Threads

Also bought the Little Dinky Dyes sewing Kit for when I am out stitching somewhere.Sweet Little Red/White scissors come with the Kit.

And finally a Scissor Fob I am stitching from Shepherd's Bush Designs

I decided I am going to take the time to stitch each day..its what I love

Its truly one of the few things that relaxes me, so For whatever bit of sanity I have left..lol and for my health I need that Blessing of the time to stitch and relax. Having a website and two shoppes keeps me very busy, but I need to stitch. I honestly think its good for the soul, At least I know it is for mine!

A Snowflake Ornament finish

I can't believe Christmas is only 8 days away. I had so many things I wanted to stitch..but orders kept me from doing what I love. In Oct I had a Heart Attack,and that in itself took a toll on what I could do.

but I am sewing like crazy now to try to get a few gifts stitched,before I wrap gifts,shop,and get my tree ready...Not enough hours in the day for sure. I did finish two prim ornies,and this piece. I found this wonderful "freebee"design on Cross Stitch Happy
Using white 32 ct opalescent fabric and

Threadworks Blueberry...I added the blue crystals to the sides. I think it came out so pretty...

I hope she likes it.. Lots of love went into Stitching it...

I just ordered a bunch of patterns from Nicoletta~ Nikyscreations.. Love her designs. I will put some pics up when they arrive.

I hope everyone is ready for Christmas...hopefully I will be by Christmas Eve...lol

Just finished this with a wonderful design by Betty of PrimitiveBettys. Its such a nice crisp design..

Done on cream monaco cloth,using dmc and dinky dye silks 2 over2. Finished the bottom of the pillow and back with a tiny blended check in oranges,rusts and black,and then added a Large Vintage Button from my collection. Thank you so much Betty for the wonderful design!

In between orders, I am also working on a UFO I started last fall by Blackbird Designs..Maybe I

will get it finished this year in time for fall.

Wow time is flying by..have not posted in a bit. I started some Fall stitchery and have lots more I want to do.Thankfully I have been Very busy with Etsy and Website order...Just wish tho that I had more time to just Stitch. That is my true love..and relaxes me so much. It has been so hot here that I have spent more time doing just that...too hot to be outside! Just finished this sweet "vintage" Strawberry piece by Nicoletta Farrauto..love how it came out. Its stitched on 32 count ivory linen,which has been "aged" I will be putting it in my etsy shop later today.

Finally sorted some of my lace and Trims.....and put them on holders. I still have lots more to do

but at least finished these...so much neater than having them in a plastic box..

And some of my Scissors...I can not get enough of these...love them all

I have been slowly healing from eye surgery on both eyes...It is a little hard to stitch because

I can see fine at a distance but close is a problem. Using drug store cheapies for the time being. I get my eyes examined this coming week

to get corrective glasses for close work. Hope you enjoy some of my collections and have a Blessed

I finished my Blackbird Design "Remember Me" Pin Cushion. Aged with Antiquing Mediums..to give it a Vintage Look..it is filled with Walnut shells for a truly Olde Look and Feel...I have it for sale in my Etsy shop I really wanted to keep it..it looks so vintage...but will have to make another when I can.

Almost Finished and Some Flowers

I just finished stitching this Piece. It will be a pincushion,with a lace border,filled with walnut shells.. Now I need to put it together. Its a BlackBird Design called

Basket Of Memories. Done on 32 ct bone linen using Gentle Arts Aged Pewter threads.
(with some of my Lily of the Valley)

And these are some of my Flowers Blooming right now in my Gardens..

Lavender and White Lilacs

and the last Plant my Dad Gave to me before he passed away. He was a Florist and Grew Beautiful

Plants..this is a Lavender Azalea...with very large blooms...

Hope you enjoyed these. I think this is my favorite time of the year,and its so beautiful

around my neighborhood because the homes are all older and the flowering plants

are mature and so beautiful. So much color..it makes you happy to be alive just looking at them all

Remember my Beautiful Just Nan enamel Owl box..with the mouse to put in its tummy? I sat him on the top shelf of my puter desk and made sure he was back so he would not fall. My grand daughter came to visit and was on my puter...and I guess she must have knocked it down,it broke,and then she got rid of the broken branch..and set it back on the shelf with only two legs...and needless to say soon as I sat at the puter it came tumbling down.(I could not understand why...cause I was so careful of where I put him) I thought I did it...til I tore my puter room apart looking for the missing branch that broke off..and then it hit me.Hubby said she must have been afraid to tell me...but....at least I could have tried to fix it. I even went through the trash thinking she threw it there ...no branch...So there went $65.00 down the drain.Not to mention the fact of the hours I wasted tearing everything apart looking for the missing piece...I ordered another one,but it makes me upset that she felt the need to hide the fact it was broke...accidents happen...I would have been frustrated,but It would not have been the end of the world....GRRRRRR New ground rules for her in this room from now on...:-(

On a Happier note...got some new silk floss,My "Flowers" by NIcoletta Farrauto came,as well as my charts for the little House needle book that goes with the pincushion set

I also purchased this beautiful Mother of Pearl Thread Winder from Italy

And New Vintage Reproduction Silver Witch Scissors for my Halloween Stitching

At least these pretties arrived to lift my spirits...I am finishing a large order

from my website...and then I plan on doing nothing but stitching for the next week...Orders are nice and I am glad I am busy..but I need stitching time

Two new finishes and some Hearts

Gift for my Mom
I just finished these...the first piece is a Sampler Girl design..which I did on 32 count belfast linen,in flax...which I hand dyed. I used Weeks overdyed yarn in Garnet for the design.

The needle keep heart was done with Weeks dyd works..Calebs Cherry Patch overdyed yarn,on 28 count monnaco cloth.

The heart bowl fillers are done in fabric,muslin and wool felt...Nice sized hearts

I have been stitching my fingers off...lol. Trying to stitch as much as I can between orders..wish I could just stitch...but have business to run..

New Additions to my Stash...Two wonderful Valentines day designs,Mill Hill frosted beads for Valentines Wishes pattern,Cashel Bo Peep Pink 32 count linen,Mother of Pearl Heart Thread Keep,Love scissors,little Gem scissors in Brown(Kelmscott designs),and floss from weeks dye works,dinky dyes silk,and Thread workx yarn.I had the heart scissors,but a dear friend loved them so much I gave her my pair and had to order a new pair.

New Finish...Little House Winter Sampler

I was determined to finish this Winter Sampler over the Holidays...Its much prettier in person.The white stitches seem to wash out with the camera flashes. I think I will put it in a darker wood frame.I loved stitching it,except,my eyes are not that great and it was very hard to stitch the white. I used flax 28 count linen,dmc,weeks dye works,and some silk threads.

I just finished this piece. Now I need to stain the fabric,and then make the acorn. I love this piece and can not wait til I have it finished! Its a wonderful design by Brenda..at With Thy Needle and Thread..Its stitched on

What a great little kit it is..It includes a neat little bag...great to carry you threads and stuff in your travels.. all in an attractive shade of pink including a pair of pink DMC titanium stainless steel Embroidery Scissors imported from Italy(yeah..another pair for my collection), a pink DMC Needle Threader, and 25 DMC pink reusable Plastic Bobbins, all in a pink zippered storage pouch.

The kit also includes instructions to create four pink stitching and craft projects including an inspirational cross stitch chart, 2 pink felt pin cushions, and a pink friendship bracelet

New Stash I received today

Bought some new stitching Goodies..I had to have Honeysuckle Manor by Blackbirds designs...Also bought a pretty Biscornu Pattern by The SweetHeart Tree..Then some new linens..Spiderweb scissor,Valdani Yarn,and my Kelmscott Mother of Pearl Acorn thread Keep,which I have been wanting for a while....whew...when I type it in I guess I DID buy some stuff...Totally addicted to it all though..If I could I would just sit and stitch all day..

I just need more time in the day to do all I want to do..

Flowers and Mothers Day

Beautiful Flowers from my Oldest Son...In a crystal fluted vase. They are so sweet..the designer uses European inspiration for her designs..

I had such a lovely day! I went to flower shop and picked out some of my garden flowers,and veggie plants. Hubby took me to dinner as well. My youngest is taking us to dinner this week,and my oldest sent the flowers above,and called me from the air..to wish me happy mothers day .He is just returning from Florida today. They just bought a Vacation home near Naples...and are setting it up.

After dinner we went to Visit with my Mom,and give her her Mothers day gift and card. It was just one of those laid back,do what you want to do days..and I loved it.

Tomorrow its back to creating...lots of orders to get finished and shipped out this week...

One of the best things to have for your pins and needles. It is done with wool felt, beaded and filled with emery to keep those needles and pins nice and sharp.
